Annual Report of the Chief Executive Officer to Board of Directors
Institute of Global Education, April 30, 2009 to April 1, 2010

We are completing our 18th year in India. I was in India until January 2009 and again from July 31, 2009 until January 29, 2010. I had the immense pleasure being invited to Horto via Thessaloniki, Greece July 23 to July 30 and did a workshop there on my way to India. The workshop was sponsored by the Pia Halzinikou Angellini Cultural Foundation which includes several Robert Muller World Core Curriculum Schools and many cultural activities as well as an intentional community. It was an incredible and wonderful experience. I had met Dimitris in Zukovsky, Russia many years ago and he had tracked me down to invite me to Greece. I received a handsome 2,400 Euro honorarium and an airline ticket to India. I am grateful and indebted to Dr. Neils Christensen and Bernard Gross for their extended help and research for my workshops.

Update: February 2010

Dear Supporters, friends and family:

I am in Northridge, California at the home of Board member  Wanda Pierkarski.  I talk to our students in  India daily thanks to free pc to pc and sometimes we see each other via webcam. All are very busy with internal exams and some even with final exams. Most will have their final exams in March and April except the engineering students who have finals in May. Of course, the final tuitions and fees for the school year are all due within the next month.

Update on Student Status

Dear Friends and Supporters:

I am back in India watching over our students. I arrived about a month ago and moved into an apartment in Hyderabad. After five years of living in Vijayawada the long trip to Hyderabad has become too much. Also, we now have a majority of our students in colleges and universities in or near Hyderabad. What is it like to live in the fifth largest city in India with a population of more than 12 million? To put it mildly, it is a new challenge but I am adjusting.

Here is a listing of our students, their schools and their course of study as well as their status:

  • Ghouse, CMED Engineering College, Master of Computers ,first year
  • U.Nagesh, BOSE College, Master of Business Administration, first year
  • Ch. Naresh, HYD Engineering, first year
  • Veerababu, Thriveni College, first year Intermediate
  • P. Ravi, Mainar law school, first year
  • Ravi, New Vision, Bi.PC (Biology Physics Chemistry), Intermediate Two
  • Veera, Vasavi College, Master of Technology, final year
  • M. Naresh, Modern Academy, Bachelor of Commerce, 3rd year
  • Dilip, Trinity College; Master of Computer Application final year
  • Sravani, C.V .Raman College, MPC (Math Physics Chemistry) Intermediate two
  • Ch. Nagesh, VKTS College, CSE (Computer Science Engineering) 2nd year
  • Ramakrishna, RMC College, ECE (Electronics Communication Engineering) 2nd year
  • Venu, Avanthi College, Bachelor of Commerce, Computers, 2nd year
  • David, GNPG College, Master of Business Administration, first year
  • Dileep, Bachelor Pharmacy, 1st year; awaiting assignment
  • Gopi, Saint Francis High School, 9th class
  • Pavani, doing advanced post graduate project work in Hyderabad
  • Prem, Super Whiz Colllege, Chartered Account course, second year
  • Saritha, Graduated Bachelor of Science, awaiting decision

The news is that there was another hike in fees and tuitions and now added costs for each exam in addition. This has added 25% to the total costs. In addition, hostel fees (dormitory) have risen even more.

We need your help immediately to keep these students in school and moving ahead. We have made exceptional progress and now is not the time to leave them as they are not yet on their own. They represent the future leadership of India and are the legacy of our years with them from Mucherla Global School.

Send donations to our Banker, Judy Anderson, 13402 Cypress Lane, Athens, AL 35613 as before, or donate here on our website

Thank you for your continued support for these deserving and worthy young people who we have stood by and supported for many years. Without you they would be working in the fields for 60 rupees a day (about $1US) with no future and no prospects. It will take an educated India to create the changes for a better society for a fifth of the world’s population that will deeply affect the other four fifths of us. We count on you to ensure their futures.
